‘My Travels’: a series of ten events exclusively for American Express® Cardmembers.
Enjoy a four-course meal with some of London’s greatest chefs.

Following a complimentary glass of champagne, you’ll enjoy a specially designed four-course lunch or dinner inspired by the chef’s life and travels across the world.

Each of the following chefs will host one of these bespoke dining events. Tickets are subject to availability and are limited to six per Cardmember.

Angela Hartnett

Café Murano Covent Garden

Angela Hartnett is one of the most high-profile women in the restaurant world. During her childhood, Angela's Italian grandmother and mother installed in her an appreciation and love of good food, and the principal inspiration behind her celebrated Italian restaurants in London. Café Murano is Angela's newest site in the heart of London's Covent Garden.

Theo Randall is widely considered one of London’s best Italian chefs. Having worked as head chef at The River Café for many years, he has both exceptional pedigree and a commitment to using the finest available seasonal ingredients at his eponymous restaurant inside the InterContinental hotel on London’s iconic Park Lane.

Tom Aikens

Tom's Kitchen, St Katharine’s Dock

Tom Aikens is one of the UK’s most acclaimed and inspirational British chefs. His remarkable career has taken him to David Cavalier’s in Battersea, Pierre Koffmann’s La Tante Claire, Pied-à-Terre and Joël Robuchon in Paris to name a few. At 26, Tom became the youngest British chef ever to be awarded two Michelin stars.

Skye Gyngell

Spring, Somerset House

Originally from Australia, Skye Gyngell is now one of Britain’s most respected and acclaimed chefs. After initially training in Sydney and then Paris, Skye moved to London to work at The French House before taking on the role of head chef at Petersham Nurseries. It was at Petersham that Skye became renowned for her distinctively seasonal, elegant cooking, inspired by what she saw growing and blossoming around her. Spring opened in Somerset House in 2014.

Anton Mosimann

Mosimann's

An icon of global gastronomy. At Mosimann's in Belgravia a "passion for excellence" has characterised Anton Mosimann's innovations in fine food since the earliest days, and remains superbly evident in every flavour that graces the palate. Mosimann's is a private members club but will open for American Express Cardmembers for this exclusive event.

Nathan Outlaw

Outlaw's at The Capital

Michelin-starred Outlaw's at The Capital is seafood master Nathan Outlaw's only London restaurant. The menu showcases the best seasonal produce and a constantly-changing selection of British fish is delivered daily from Cornwall. The intimate restaurant is located inside the quintessentially English 5-star Capital Hotel in Knightsbridge, moments from Harrods.

Yotam Ottolenghi

NOPI

Having changed how we approach a dinner party, Yotam Ottolenghi is one of the country's most recognisable chefs; his style of cooking is one of the most interesting and modern in the UK. NOPI is Ottolenghi's flagship restaurant which references the location, 'north of Piccadilly'. The menu changes according to the seasons but signature dishes include courgette and manouri fritters and twice-cooked baby chicken with lemon myrtle salt and chilli.

Nuno Mendes

Taberna do Mercado

Nuno Mendes' Taberna do Mercado captures and reinterprets Portuguese food and flavours whilst championing specially sourced Portuguese ingredients. Offering a day in the life of a typical Portuguese 'Lisboeta', Taberna is open seven days a week for breakfast, petiscos, tinned fish, pregos and bifanas served with regional wines and beers.

With a degree in Microbiology from Kent University, he has a unique scientific perspective on the process of cooking and the ingredients he uses. His cooking style, however, is focused entirely on flavour and the delivery of pleasure rather than innovation and the need to impress. Elystan Street in Chelsea is his newest restaurant.

Following the success of HIX Oyster & Chop House in Farringdon, Mark opened HIX Mayfair, HIX Soho and his chicken and steak concept restaurants Tramshed and Hixter. HIX Soho boasts a weekly-changing menu of seasonal British food and an eclectic collection of mobiles and neons from celebrated British artists.

José Pizarro

José Pizarro

Often described as the Godfather of Spanish cooking in the UK, Jose Pizarro has worked at some of London’s most prestigious Spanish restaurants, including Eyre Brothers, Brindisa and Gaudi. In 2011, Jose opening his first solo venture – Jose Tapas Bar and has since gone on to open two further restaurants in the Capital, including José Pizarro at Broadgate Circle.

James Knappett

Kitchen Table

Founders of Bubbledogs, a champagne and hotdogs bar, James Knappett and his wife Sandia Chang went on to open Kitchen Table, a 19-seat chef’s table at the back of the bar. Awarded a Michelin star in 2014, James hosts intimate dinners with a daily-changing 14-course menu, made with meticulously sourced and foraged British ingredients.

Vivek Singh is one of the most successful and respected modern Indian chefs in the country, with four renowned London restaurants to his name including The Cinnamon Club, the City’s Cinnamon Kitchen, Cinnamon Soho and Covent Garden’s Cinnamon Bazaar. His refined approach to Indian cuisine has changed the perception of Indian food in the UK.

Marianne Lumb’s classical training started her classical training in restaurants including the Michelin starred Gravetye Manor. Her Notting Hill restaurant, Marianne, serves carefully crafted tasting menus that highlight the most beautiful seasonal produce.

Chris Galvin

Galvin Bistro de Luxe

Michelin-starred chef Chris Galvin’s career has spanned 30 years working in some of the finest restaurants and hotels on both sides of the Atlantic. Galvin Bistro de Luxe is his first solo venture. Twelve years later the Michelin-starred Galvin brothers have restaurants across London, Edinburgh and Dubai.
